The Evolve Natural Fitness and Nutrition physique optimisation programme is for those who have training experience. You might have hit a plateau, you could be struggling for motivation, or you could be looking to maximise results for an occasion or an event. You will likely know some basics and have experience of training in some way.
The process involves an in depth assessment and review session to analyse your current condition, programme and status. This looks at your mobility, functionality, health markers and assesses your strength. Your training history is also reviewed and analysed.
You are then supported with remote programme design and nutritional guidance to help you reach your potential. This is supported with ongoing weekly remote check ins and a face to face personal training session on a monthly basis to keep you on track. You will have access to Evolve Natural Fitness trackers and tools to help you log your journey.
I am a qualified and CIMPA certified Exercise Referral specialist. This course provided me with the necessary information to prescribe exercise for individuals affected by degenerative diseases and psychological disorders.
This understanding combined with my other training, qualifications and experience makes me an ideal trainer for beginners and those those who need to make lifestyle changes. Outside of degenerative diseases and psychological disorders, you could be in a situation where you are facing medication intending to treat conditions. By its very nature, my work with people in this category needs to be very specific and individual. Typically programmes here combine personal training with lots of coaching and sessions based on nutrition and wider well being emphasis.
Broadly speaking, sport is very good for you. However, at the recreational level, weekend warriors will commonly come un stuck and get injured through playing the sports that they love when they can around work.
The reality is that even recreational athletes should train to play their sport. In the context of injury prevention a detailed and appropriate warm up, appropriate warm down and a suitable mobility management programme can reduce the likelihood of injury substantially.
This programme is a one of session that assesses your movement status and mobility and then teaches you the correct warm up, warm down. It is followed up by a personalised mobility programme, appropriate to your needs and sport.
"I spent the past 120yrs sat behind a desk in my day job and with minimal sport during that time. I returned to gym/tennis 3yrs ago but kept getting shoulder and knee pains as well as pulled every muscle in both legs and hip during that time.
I tried two physio therapists over a 6 month period and both were ridiculously expensive and actually made my problems worse. I tried training more in the gym but still my problems persisted and got worse. It’s the same old cliché, I stopped playing any sport after an active childhood and I’d let myself go a bit. I thought I knew enough to get back into reasonable shape and after some initial success, I quickly plateaued.
I turned to my brother Andy (which doesn’t mean this review is automatically bias), who really has taken my training to the next level and changed my attitude towards my diet and nutrition. I signed up for his 12 week Evolve Natural Fitness and recover programme, which incrementally made changes to my lifestyle.
First by introducing me to new workout routines tailored to my needs - I have old football injuries which include ligament reconstruction in my knee and herniated discs in my back. As the weeks progressed I found myself getting more confident in my ability to perform exercises I would normally shy away from for fear of aggravating these injuries again. We would train online every two weeks (PT) to tailor work outs and we would catch up weekly to further discuss my progress so I always felt supported. Working out never got boring or repetitive.
The most significant change for me however was how Andy developed my understanding of food and nutrition without it overwhelming me. Learning what type of food is good or bad, how many calories I should be eating, what percentage of macro-nutrients should aim for, has always seemed like a chore. But Andy’s guidance documents along with telephone conversations when I had other further questions made it clear and easy to understand. The keyword again is incremental changes which have now become habitual, my diet is better than ever.
I cannot recommend this programme enough. The best thing for me is that it is giving me the tools I need along with the motivation and enthusiasm to keep going and progress even further.
